Timothy Carl Bowers

Timothy "Tim" Bowers, 62, of Jonesboro was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 26, 2023.  Graveside service will be held Sunday, April 30 at 3:00 PM at Jonesboro City Cemetery, 113 Johnson St, Jonesboro GA 30236.

Tim died peacefully while sleeping in his favorite recliner.  If you knew Tim, then you knew that he was a man of God, always anxious to talk about Jesus and the Word of God.  He had a heart for the lost, and in particular, for preaching and ministering to those who were incarcerated, and he volunteered many hours to the jail ministry.  Tim believed his greatest accomplishment was his knowledge of the Word and the spirit that gave him the memory of the passages, so he could speak from his heart to others about the Lord, and share his own testimony.

Tim was a kind person and enjoyed helping others, with a warm sense of humor.

He was a top-notch athlete, and a skilled tradesman, and he strived for excellence in both.

Tim was a loving and supportive husband to his wife, Tracy Weiner-Bowers, and he was happiest when he was doing things around their home with her, relaxing and just spending time together.  He loved their dogs “Buddy” and “Teddie” who were often in his lap.

He will be greatly missed by his parents, “Sandy” Bowers, Carl Bowers, wife, Tracy Weiner-Bowers, brother, Todd Bowers, sister Tammy Baker (Russ), niece Carlee Baker Lauzirika (Charlie), nephew Brett Baker, brother-in-laws, Paul J. Weiner, Bob Baker, sister-in-laws IliSi Malone, Leisa Weiner, and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul S. Weiner, and his brother, Ted Bowers.
